Figuring out how to use GoogleTools with students
I have enjoyed learning about the various tools that google has for teachers and students. I think it is going to be a slow process of organizing and integrating the tools with my teaching. It is great that students can continue working at home and still be collaborating with their peers and teachers. I believe that using the tools to organize documents, presentations, pictures, spreadsheets etc. will be motivational for students. These are also tools that students will use long after they leave school. At this point I feel like I have been shown the various tools and have tried them out but it is going to be a lot of work and planning to use the tools in a meaningful way with my students.

Sue, I agree that this will take time. I do love the creative process that these tools allow. It energizes me to think about having these powerful and professional tools at our fingertips and only a few steps (baring any tech glitches) to creating appropriately challenging and engaging learning for our students.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this school year. I really think we all accomplished quite a bit during the class. Most of the tools were not new learning for me but thinking about how we can use them with students in a collaborative way is what interests me. It was a pleasure to work with you.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to be piloting this work with our awesome team. It is motivating to think about where we can go as a school with the knowledge we are learning about.
