END of Course reflection

Google Tools for School course provided our CMS team with an opportunity to share and learn together.  We all worked hard to create a group project that will be use during our school inservice and beyond.  We have formed a mini PLN.  It is also a face to face PLN.  We have so much energy to bring back to our school.  Jenn has really lead the way for all of us.  She has worked tirelessly to get a google domain and cloud k-12 for CMS students and staff.  Our staff will may be overwhelmed  about having to learn so many new tools but the fact that so many of us are on board and ready to help people continue the learning beyond the inservice will be key to our success.  We have a diverse group of educators and I believe this will make a positive impact on our staff.  The tools are a great way for students to collaborate with each other.  They can break down the classroom walls and help us reach out to students around the globe.  I am not a pro or expert at using google tools with my students but I am willing to learn and continue to make myself more digitally literate.  I am sure I will learn many things from my colleagues that did not attend the class and from my students.

I really enjoyed listening to other classmates unpack their projects. The level of participation in this class was impressive.  I am very glad I spent time this summer working on my group project and learning how to use google tools.  I am looking forward my Digital Storytelling Unit and the google tools are going to make this Unit better.  The students stories will be out their for a greater audience!  I feel like I'm on the technology train.
